Once a farmhouse on the edge of the prairie, this I-House in Georgetown, Texas was salvaged in early 2019. The process revealed layers of history, a closet full of of decayed receipts under the carpet, the work of termites and that the house had once had a full-length two-story porch across the front.
What we discovered over the course of this 18 month project is that the importance of this place to the community has been completely underestimated, not only in terms of its economic impact, but of its role in supporting non-profit organizations, youth leadership and education opportunities.
